British Film Institute assures protesting Hindus not to release or screen movie "The Love Guru"

Ilona Cheshire, BFI Press Officer, replying to a communiqué from Bhavna Shinde of Hindu Janjagruti Samiti and Sanatan Society for Scientific Spirituality, said, "Please rest assured that the BFI will not be screening this title nor will be involved with a possible release of it."

Groundbreaking Hindu Baccalaureate Service at an American university

The acclaimed Hindu and Indo-American leader Rajan Zed broke another ground on Sunday by organizing first Hindu Baccalaureate Service at a respected university in Western USA complete with Gayatri Mantra, tilak (religious mark) over the foreheads of graduates, and lamp lighting in front of statue of goddess Saraswati.
In July last, Zed recited the first Hindu prayer in the 218 years history of United States Senate in Washington DC, thus setting an American religious milestone.

Australia House of Representatives turns down Hindu prayer request

Rajan Zed, the internationally acclaimed Hindu chaplain, has been denied the request of reading opening prayer in the Australia House of Representatives.
In a reply to Zed’s request, Bernard Wright, Deputy Clerk of the House, wrote,
…standing orders as they are worded would not allow a chaplain of any faith to say a prayer or similar invocation: this is because they specify that it is the Speaker who reads the prayer, and also because they specify the prayer…

Hindus urge FCC intervention in "The Love Guru" movie

Hindu groups contacted Federal Communications Commission (FCC) today urging intervention in the matter of the upcoming Hollywood movie "The Love Guru" saying "it will hurt the religious sentiments of millions of Hindus worldwide".
