The New York Times' ran the headline for the story out of the Associated Press today: 'D.C. Madam' Is Found Dead, Apparently in a Suicide
The tragedy occurred Thursday, May 2, at her mother's home in Tarpon Springs, FL -- about 20 miles northwest of Tampa.
I suppose there will be no more revelations about her client lists now.

Skeptical
I wish I weren't. But the last 8 years have changed many things.
Good reason to be skeptical.
One of the prostitutes committed suicide earlier, according to the article:
Given the depth of Republican corruption, particularly in lieu of Hookergate and the items listed in the "Devil Quotes Scripture" piece, I'm less inclined to accept even a textbook claim of suicide -- that's how jaded I am by the deadly, lying bozos currently driving our nation into the ground.
I wonder why she chose to hang herself
and not use another method..pills, gun, etc. What a waste.
last 8 years
have pretty much changed everything, dontcha think?
Skeptical? I'm at its thin-edge frontier with 'cynical' but not across the line to "it's hopeless". Yet. What happens next will decide that.
OT: Susie, I've learned a lot about one of your old favorites in the last several months. More about the 'who' and 'what' behind *ALA and Tort Reform farces.
You'll be interested at the 'how' and 'when' and 'where' they've been involved during these last, say, 9 years. We should catch up sometime.
Oooh, fun!
Do tell. There's an FOIA on a very related topic that I always thought would be marvelous fun to file.
An epidemic of suicides
Not normally given to conspiracy rants -- usually I just roll my eyes -- but like luaptifer and Susie, this rash of death-by-own-hand is getting kind of creepy.
Avahome: Who was the Florida recount guy found dead of apparent suicide in Georgia?
Then there was Kelley, the weapons inspector.
Then not too long ago, Constable Todd, investigator into the US's extradordinary rendition flights out of Britain, dying so eerily similarly to Kelley, by his own hand during a solitary walk in the woods.
Now Brandy Britton and the Madam too.
