New Hope for the Brain Damaged (possibly even brain-damaged Presidents)

And yes, the story is real. The image above is a crop from an image found on lolpix, but the article is real -- click the image to get to the online version. Another related story by the same writer (Margaret Munro of CanWest News Service) can be found here. The lolpix image of the print copy of the CanWest article was first pointed out to me by Aurora_Bird on DelphiForums.

Imagine the amount of hope this method

brings to families. I'm not so sure GW gets it. But I am so glad you came up on the article....and posted. The more light of day focused on this procedure might surely open someones pocket books!!!!!

Thanks, avahome. I couldn't resist the

snark capacity -- "stranger than fiction" doesn't even start to describe the irony -- but the procedure itself is very very important; I find myself wondering if any of the vets with traumatic brain injury could benefit from it. We've got a whole bunch of 'em in need. Whoever stages Bush's photo ops made a wise choice here -- at least, insofar as selecting a target that has significant value intellectually, medically and in a format capable of eliciting compassion. And whoever laid out the physical print page had a great sense of humor. ("had" 'cuz s/he is probably at Gitmo now, but likely still laughing his/her butt off in-between waterboarding sessions)
