The paperwork is finally done to apply to change the status of the ePluribus Media (Journal and Timelines) from a 501 (c) 4 to a 501 (c) 3 status. A 501 (c) 3 status gives ePluribus Media one of the prerequisites for some grants as well as to make donations to the Journal and Timelines tax-deductible for the donors.
Because 501 (c) 3 status precludes any advocacy (such as asking readers to contact their senators to support legislation), the Community site will not be part of the 501 (c) 3 ... but remain pretty much as it is, with commentaries the sole responsibility of the author posting them.
Because of this "advocacy issue" and the need to have the Journal/Timelines and the Community be separate, we've had to amend the ePluribus Media bylaws.
Voting is scheduled to close Friday, May 23rd. You can get a copy of the amended bylaws and the application for changed status by emailing Roxy AT epluribusmedia.org. The packet will include instructions on voting. Send your vote to Admin AT epluribusmedia.org
And if you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact Admin AT epluribusmedia.org.

Thank you for your hard work!
Teamwork and persistence by the community means a whole lot to me personally....for passion more so than logic leads to change...NO FEAR!
Question
I didn't see anything in my mail box so I want to make sure I understand correctly...in order to vote, we have to request a ballot?
