George Bush and Iran
Beginning with the infamous 2002 State of Union address and the unavailing of the Axis of Evil this administration seemed intent on confrontation with Iran on any pretense. Whether an actual attack will take place is at best speculation but what is not deniable is this: Since the invasion of Iraq the Bush administration has arrested and detained Iranian diplomats, sent carrier battle groups into the Persian gulf, accused them of providing Iraqi insurgents with weapons and of developing nuclear weapons. Yet none of these accusations have proven themselves to be true: Excepting the carrier battle groups which indeed were deployed.
The Asia Times is reporting this.
Bush 'plans Iran air strike by August'
NEW YORK - The George W Bush administration plans to launch an air strike against Iran within the next two months, an informed source tells Asia Times Online, echoing other reports that have surfaced in the media in the United States recently. Two key US senators briefed on the attack planned to go public with their opposition to the move, according to the source, but their projected New York Times op-ed piece has yet to appear.
The source, a retired US career diplomat and former assistant secretary of state still active in the foreign affairs community, speaking anonymously, said last week that the US plans an
air strike against the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC). The air strike would target the headquarters of the IRGC's elite Quds force. With an estimated strength of up to 90,000 fighters, the Quds' stated mission is to spread Iran's revolution of 1979 throughout the region.
Whether it's true or not the fact remains; the Bush administration continues to advocate an aggressive confrontational stance in its dealings with Iran. Shunting aside any form of diplomacy as it doesn't fit in with the macho cowboy attitude taken by them since day one.

Bush's recent visit
to the Middle East probably helped add anxiety to this situation. I know the administration came out with a strong denial of the Jerusalem Post's story that he wanted to take care of Iran before he left office but does anyone trust Bush anymore?
It's hard to trust 'em when their strongest denials
have (nearly) always turned out to be lies.
(I can't think of an instance where they ~haven't~ lied, but I figured it couldn't hurt to qualify that statement...a little.)
Stupidity is Worse than Evil
Trust GWB!?!?!
I voted against him twice. I was shocked when he got the Republican nomination the first time. I just watched him on TV for maybe a total of 30 minutes and thought he would be an absurdity as president. Boy was I wrong.
FIASCO is more like it.
What about Israel's 120 nukes.....per J. Carter!
This is nuts....it feels like we are captive to these cowboys.
