On re-registering to vote after foreclosure in Connecticut

I had figured, based on previous attempts, that it would be relatively easy in this town even if New Milford, CT used to be a very "red" part of Connecticut. This town actually voted for Lamont instead Joe neocon Lieberman in the last election... Just to give you an idea how it may have changed recently.
As for actually re-registering after our foreclosure, it was as hassle free and simple as filling out some paperwork out front of one of the local grocery stores. Local libertarians had set up a voter registration booth there on a busy afternoon.
About a week later we received notice from the town that the registration for our new address had gone through the local town's registrar.
All that is left is getting some voter ID (ie: change of address for the driver's license) since, in this day and age of the government wanting to make it harder to vote, you should bring the ID and show it to them as you mention the Big Brother aspect of it all. We should be getting the licenses done on Monday. I want to take my 16 year old daughter to get her driver's permit anyways... (shudder)
I still plan on stopping by the town's office and talking to the people in charge of all of this locally to see if I can get any more official info for educational purposes. I also want to double-check the re-registration! Trust but VERIFY, damnit! lol
This is a pretty good town, in as far as voting. When I was poll sitting for Lamont last election with a friend who was out there for Murphy, the people in charge of counting up the votes actually asked us, at the end of the day and shortly before the polls closed, if we wanted to come in and watch the vote count. I would've taken them up on that offer if I didn't have other things to do already planned. I may just do that this year.
