The story culminates with the stunning photo above . . . a testimony to Rourke's resourcefulness and tenacity. It was the last image found in his camera before he was hauled off. It was taken after someone jumped him from the rear.
"I was rolling around, found my camera and was shooting from my back," says Rourke.
Security in the fog of protest leading to the latest arrests of reporters and photographers, points to a serious lack of both professionalism and training of law enforcement. Hard to imagine how a large force, armed with intel from informants gathered over the course of year, could so easily lose control during a street protest.
