We Media Conference in Miami
2008-01-23 10:44:05
Got this emailed press release from the folks at iFocus and We Media. If anyone has a hankering to attend... let us know.
If you're planning on coming but still haven't registered for We Media Miami, we hope you'll sign up now. The program is packed with amazing people and provocative ideas - and seating is limited to keep the discussions intimate. Now it's time to book travel and dive into the pre-conference networking in the We Media Community - where you can get acquainted with other participants. Why come? For starters, the list of great people who will be there is too long to include here. You can find the updated program here.
But there's really a much better reason to join us in Miami. While familiar names may help spark or justify your interest, we hope it's the unfamiliar names, the unusual mix of topics and participants and the provocation of new viewpoints that make the experience worthwhile for you. We Media is a celebration of invention through media, and we hope it inspires and rejuvenates you.
Most of the program is filled - including several workshops and working group meetings already planned for the less formal Open Space format during the final afternoon. But one important and popular session is still incomplete. It's called Pitch It. Founders and would-be entrepreneurs pitch their big ideas for We Media products, services and projects to a panel of experts in launching and sustaining new ventures. If you'd like to present your project at Pitch It, check out the application instructions here and submit your project details via email no later than Noon ET Feb. 5.
Finally ... stay tuned for the pre-conference online conversations kicking off later this week on the conference blog. During the next few weeks we'll be posting a variety of essays from various participants to seed and spark the We Media discussions.
Again, to register now for We Media Miami click here.
We hope to see you there.
Best,
Andrew Nachison and Dale Peskin
