Iceland topped Vision of Humanity's Global Peace Index of 140 countries that analyzes how peaceful they are regarding international policy and domestic conditions, The Financial Times reported Tuesday.

Because of continued violence since the 2003 U.S.-led invasion, Iraq ranked last in the index developed by the organization based in Australia.

George Bush is holding a Middle East Peace Summit at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis Maryland this week with only thirteen months left in his Administration. Why anyone might consider this a break through in the peace process for that part of the world is beyond my comprehension.

Back in our day, from January 31-February 2, 1971, an Extremely Important Event took place by a number of Extremely Brave Vietnam Vets, that challenged the morality and conduct of the war by showing the direct relationship between military policies and war crimes in Vietnam!

This event was organized by Vietnam Veterans Against The War and was called the Winter Soldier Investigation
