Murder
They Killed A 9 Year Old Girl
WARNING: The following post contains harsh language. In context, the language rightly and honestly reflects the emotional outrage of the commenter over the heinous nature of crime described. In order to front-page such a newsworthy piece while minimizing the potential of accidentally offending readers, I'm putting this note in above-the-fold so that people who are offended by strong language can choose not to read the piece.
Now that you're braced for it, continue over the fold to read about a heinous crime that was committed -- a crime involving the National Executive Director of MAD (Minuteman American Defense)...

While We Look At Prop 8, More Iraqi Gays Die
This morning I wrote a rather in-depth commentary about the continuing plight of LGBTs in the Middle East, in particular Iraq, where more Iraqi gays have been found murdered recently.
I waited until today to let most of the Prop 8 writeups and blogger op-eds dry up so this piece could surface in the LGBT blogosphere.
For those you have not followed any of the articles (few and far between), Network news coverage (little if any) in regards to one of the fallouts of the invasion of Iraq, this may come as quite an eye opener.
Torture Led to Murder; It's a Fact. BuzzFlash Has Been Calling This Murder I, Regardless of the Cause.
This is a guest post by Mark Karlin, cross-posted from The Buzzflash Editor's Blog.
For many years now, BuzzFlash has been recording and documenting the acts of homicide and war crimes that have resulted from the Cheney/Bush/Rumsfeld policies on torture and killing of sometimes randomly singled out Arabs. Face it, the trio of war criminals had a policy that if innocent Arabs got caught up in the web of torture and war, that was their problem. So what would be a crime of murder if committed in the United States was an "act of protecting America against terrorism" in Iraq, Afghanistan and the CIA "black holes."
Even if many of the tortured and dead were just so more wrongfully abducted and arrested "collateral damage."
The Legal Case Against Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Et Al., Is Murder One, Not Just War Crimes
by Mark Karlin
BuzzFlash fully supports trying Bush, Cheney, and their band of fellow sadists for war crimes, but while they are in the courtroom, let's not forget Murder One. Apparently, many in the mainstream press and blogosphere already have.
The focus right now is on legal memos justifying the horrifying and numbing repetition of torture against "high profile" targets. We have a short memory in America -- and most of what was in these memos -- except for the diabolical excess of the waterboarding and the medieval torture by insects -- was, as President Obama has said, pretty much already known.

I'm going to add a comment from an email that came to me today. A crucial vote on Health Care comes up today in the Senate, to do with the rules.
Was Radically Changed by War and PTSD
PTSD sufferers can't always leave the war behind.
Sergeant Nicholas Horner and his Wife Tragedy and war-inspired Post Traumatic Stress Disorder can meet like a head on crash when the nation's care providers at the Veterans Administration, notorious for lies and deceit, deny our combat veterans the care they need.
This story of deadly, senseless shootings in Altoona, Pennsylvania April 6th is possibly the most tragic story I have ever reported, and if it isn't, it is among the very worst.

"If we prosecute those in America who only commit one murder, under what theory don't we prosecute a president who is criminally responsible for over four thousand murders?" Vincent Bugliosi

(April 7, Wash. DC) The legendary Los Angeles County prosecutor and top selling true crime author, Vincent Bugliosi, continues to make the case that he argued in detail in his New York Times best seller, The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder. His crime, according to the esteemed former prosecutor: deliberately deceiving the United States into an illegal war that resulted in the deaths of 4,200 U.S. soldiers and more than 1,000,000 Iraqi civilians.
Recovery Begins With Truth

I am an alcoholic.
I got sober almost 20 years ago. Before that, I abused alcohol, drugs, sex and money in order to ignore the damage I had done to my life, deluding myself . I crawled through life in a cycle of being drunk or not yet drunk, making more mistakes that would need more drinking to erase. I am nobody special. Absolutely nobody. Everyone on this planet has problems and I have mine. I chose to deal with them by 'feeling better', one glass at a time. All day. Each and every day...week...month and year - until I turned to someone for help.

In the final article in Salon's series, we ask what President Obama will do about the rise of suicide and murder among U.S. soldiers returning from combat.
This is the conclusion to Salon's weeklong "Coming Home" series, by Mark Benjamin and Michael de Yoanna, on preventable deaths at Fort Carson. You can read the introduction to the series here.
It's not about what President Obama will do, but what will this Country, who cheers on Invasions of innocents, than willingly supports their Occupation till they lose interest, do to control what these Wars and Occupations have done to those we've sent. Those of us from this countries previous shows of force and failed policies already know, and we won't allow it to happen again!! President Obama and our representatives in Congress are only that, Our Representatives, it's Our Responsibility to right the wrongs, of the policies, and to take care of those we call Heroe's but are quickly forgotten when they return!
The final installment of the Salon series starts out with this:
"That young man never should have come into the Army"

The above subject title is the forth addition in a week long series at Salon.com by Mark Benjamin and Michael de Yoanna on the returned Soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan called "Coming Home". It's the open window into what happens to some after serving in man's hell on earth, Wars and Occupations of Choice!<!--Break-->

A 'Big Hat Tip' to Carol White who sent me the link to the first of this series, a 'Big Hat Tip'!!
Salon.com has a series running all this week called "Coming Home", researched and written by Mark Benjamin and Michael de Yoanna.
The following is the description and lead in information on the series:
Gen. Petraeus: Kiss My ##@*&%$! ASS!

According to this well written piece from David Porter, also carried at HuffPo - US Army General David Petraeus is working to override US President Barack Obama.
The Genocide of America.

Is the United States of America the world's largest dealer of illegal drugs? What about the world's largest gun runner? For years our government has used the CIA, NSA & other super-secret 'intelligence' agencies to cultivate drug harvest and distribution in SE Asia and Afghanistan. We offer 'aid' and 'trade' to countries in the forms of weapons and ammunition. The drugs come home to the US to poison and kill our own population. The weapons we sell are used either against us directly by people to kill others, who then seek to kill Americans. Did the founding fathers envision a country that would become the world's largest debtor and blood merchant?
Killing Tribes For Oil & Logs
You know the saying that if a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, did it really make a sound? Well, some governments and companies are banking that the public needs to hear or see uncontacted tribes before we care that they are being killed or relocated in the name of oil and mahogany. Companies are invading indigenous lands in the Amazon rainforest of uncontacted tribes causing their deaths, yet officials claim that unseen tribes are nonexistent mythical creations of environmental groups who oppose oil and logging developments. The tribes are then forcibly relocated or members killed sufficient to terminate the tribe's continuity with future generations. Yet, some would like the public to believe that no one was harmed because the tribes are mythical.

Sergeant Nicholas Horner and his Wife Tragedy and war-inspired Post Traumatic Stress Disorder can meet like a head on crash when the nation's care providers at the Veterans Administration, notorious for lies and deceit, deny our combat veterans the care they need.
