There is a very, very tall coconut tree and there are 4 animals, a Lion, a Chimpanzee, a Giraffe, and a Squirrel, who pass by. They decide to compete to see who is the fastest to get a banana off the tree.

Texas Humor -- Country Funeral

As a young minister in Kentucky, I was asked by a funeral director to hold a grave-side service for a homeless man, who had no family or friends. The funeral was
to be held at a new cemetery way back in the country, and this man would be the first to be buried there.
I was not familiar with the backwoods area, and I soon became lost. Being a typical man, I did not stop to ask for directions. I finally arrived an hour late. I saw the

Submitted by: avahome on Tue, 03/04/2008 - 11:33 What can I tell you about my relief that I will no longer be getting multiple phone calls from Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama volunteers. Here in Texas we all have been just bombarded with TV ads, fliers in the mail, and the dreaded phone calls. Now at my house I have the morning and afternoon shift answering the phone and my husband the night shift...you don't want to get him!
So when a friend sent me this little ditty....it just seems so fitting on Primary voting day in Texas...give it a read.

A little boy goes to his dad and asks, "What is Politics?"
Dad says, "Well son, let me try to explain it this way:
I am the head of the family, so call me The President.
Your mother is the administrator of the money, so we call her the Government.
We are here to take care of your needs, so we will call you the People.
The nanny, we will consider her the Working Class.
And your baby brother, we will call him the Future.
