[Reading this staff-written CNN story about the execution of Private Ronald Gray, convicted of rape and murder -- sent via email Bush approves execution of Army private:
Members of the U.S. military have been executed throughout history, but just 10 have been executed with presidential approval since 1951 under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, the military's modern-day legal system.
Bush allowed 152 executions as governor of Texas and has signed off on three executions of federal inmates since he became president -- including that of Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh, who was put to death in 2001.]
This has gotten lots of play in NC. My take on this is that Bush is essentially emasculated and the execution of a soldier completes the circle started as a child when he tortured and exploded animals(see Bush On The Couch). He cannot do anything well that is socially acceptable --so he will do that which is most violent and the ultimate exercise of his power--to murder his own soldiers as an expression of the manhood that he has failed at so miserably.

What's new here is the researcher's Ken O'Brien has graciously returned to answer the comments, scroll down them to read about interesting developments in the genetics of PTSD. -- cho
I don't know yet what quite to make of this and will reserve judgment until I read the whole study when it is presented but this has me gobsmacked! I present this for your viewing pleasure. From the Aussies:
"QUT researcher Ken O'Brien will present his findings[tonight] that elements of PTSD are passed genetically to children of Vietnam veterans.
``It's about looking at PTSD and how it is handed down through the generations and becomes called ADHD, Aspergers and autism,'' Mr O'Brien said."
Good golly Miss Molly you gotta read this to believe it but JimmyJeff GannonGuckert is on an advisory committee with the National Press Club because they can use all the help they can get. Just when you think it is safe to go back into the woods, Jeff is lurking in the shadows. He refers to the allegations that he was a homosexual male escort aka prostitute as "unsubstantiated rumors"--yeah Jeff and my age is an unsubstantiated rumor too. Wishing makes it so in Jeffyland.
"To hear that a VA official is promoting misdiagnoses of soldiers to save money is unacceptable and is tantamount to fraud. " -- Letter from Barak Obama to Veterans Affairs Secretary James Peake
Obama is just plain, flat out wrong. There are no "misdiagnoses" to save money advocated for in this memo. It is Differential Diagnosis she is calling for. There may well be a fraud here but it is not Dr. Perez. It is fraud for the media and Obama to perpetuate a falsehood.
The Washington Post broke the story on Friday, which included emails from Dr. Norma Perez suggesting to her staff members that they "refrain from giving a diagnosis of PTSD straight out," because of the increasing costs of treating the disorder. -- From CBS News website
