The money, regulatory, and legal interests of the Koch brothers are responsible for very much of the damage to these United States. The 'Kochtopus' intends to wreak all the more havoc that is possible, so, I've become thrilled to understand that Americans are finally seeing the corporate men behind the curtains. In front of the curtains, their agenda is paraded by the astroturf groups and think tanks of so many fronts that I have to question just how much of a Libertarian Party actually exists absent money from the Kochs. Some, I'm sure, just not how much.
Providing even further proof that real life can be funnier than anything even The Onion can make up... Sarahcuda circles the "lamestream media" like a blind and toothless fish out of water:chasing her own tale:
A reader points out that one of the fed-up claims in Sarah Palin's defense of Nikki Haley -- that the "lamestream media" reported she was "living in the Hamptons" -- refers to a pretty blunt and obvious satire in a local New York publication, Dan's Papers.
Just be thankful that she is as clueless as a political and ideological foe as we could ever hope for. We can only hope for this kind of idiocy from her Kentucky ideological clone, Rand Paul.
[ed note - CM1] Welcome MinistryOfTruth who has graciously accepted an invitation to post some material here. And enjoy! I know I do.
This must be seen across America. Stormfront.org, which was founded to support David Duke for senate by another KKK Grand Dragon, Don Black, has been promoting and contributing to Rand Paul's moneybombs. Palling around with WhiteSupremacists much?
That's a tweet from Don Black, head of the white supremacist group Stormfront. Wow.
So, Trey Grayson should reject donations from Republicans who voted for the bailout........but it's okay for Rand Paul to accept donations from Stormfront? genuineGOPmom.blogspot.com
I will state this loudly and clearly. Over and over at the top of my Jewish lungs.
Rand Paul MUST return Neo-Nazi funds NOW and DENOUNCE Stormfront.org
But he can't. Democrats MUST turn 2010 into a referendum on Rand Paul. So, let's see how deep the rabbit hole goes.
Libertarianism: If Not Now, Then When?
Joel S. Hirschhorn
With the meltdown of the American economy, what better time to ask: Can libertarianism come to the rescue?
Perhaps the most interesting statement in the Wikipedia discussion of libertarianism is that
There is no single theory that can be reliably identified as the libertarian theory, and no single principle or set of principles on which all libertarians would
Sometimes we need to see things differently to understand them fully. right now, I'm reading the book "Free Lunch" by David Cay Johnson. It details how the rich are twisting government policy to enrich themselves. No surprises here.
But this article isn't about railing against the rich, it's about looking at the structure of government differently. What we learn in school is that there are three branches of government: Congressional, Presidential and Judicial. In practice, we have a fourth branch of government which is comprised of a loose coalition of the super wealthy who use lobbying and campaign contributions to exert influence on the other three branches. Again, nothing new here.
