Britain's Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg says Iraq Invasion was Illegal

I know you just rubbernecked on that title but he really did say it. Via Reuters:

Britain's Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg described the 2003 invasion of Iraq as illegal on Wednesday, putting the new coalition government under pressure to clarity its position on the war.

The Liberal Democrat leader was speaking in parliament while deputizing for Prime Minister David Cameron who was on a visit to the United States.

Cameron, like most of his Conservative Party -- the senior coalition partners -- supported Britain's involvement in the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq under the previous Labour government.

There is nothing controversial about that. Unless you have suported the illegal war of aggression?

As a side note: "Britain has withdrawn its troops from Iraq but has 9,500 soldiers in Afghanistan"

the statement maybe, and whether I was gungho, or not, I used to think that the US at least had some justification for our violent presence in Afghanistan.

I NEVER believed that was true for our violence in Iraq.

That charade was machinated from the desk of Rumsfeld beginning on 9/11/2001 and fully sustained, onward until we finished what Dubya's Poppy didn't.

As soon as Bush said "Iraq" I knew he was lying considering just a month earlier Powell had summed up what every one knew - including Europe, Iraq's neighboring countries and our own country:

"He has not developed any significant capability with respect to weapons of mass destruction; he is unable to project conventional power against his neighbors." - Colin Powell

Condoleezza Rice told the truth before Bush lied about Iraq too:

And yet we still see nothing happening when it comes to justice for these criminals?

"And yet we still see nothing happening when it comes to justice for these criminals?"

The current GOP goonsquad was lockstep with the Bush syndicate and any attempt to look at the criminal White House would IMMEDIATELY find the need to dig into criminal Congress.

Gotta keep looking forward, can't look back or just might see who the F* they're in bed with.
