"Christian" Leader Advocates Muslim Genocide -- How Christ-like is that?

I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.

      -- Gandhi

Gandhi was on to something here. Not all Christians; not even all fundamentalist sects. But there are definitely some evangelical fundamentalist sects of "Christianity" that not only qualify for Gandhi's quote, they may also qualify as jihadist extremists and prove themselves worthy of derision as the "American Taliban" of Christianity.

The latest example comes from Media Matters, and concerns the American Family Association's "Christian" leader Bryan Fischer, who goes on-record to recommend genocide and provides biblical justification for it.

To see just how ignorant Fischer's screed is, I've substituted other words for "Muslim" and "Islam" and posted the result under the fold. It's pretty eye-opening (for those who have open hearts and minds, that is).

If you want to check it out, make a leap of faith and click on over the jump...

Here's MY editorial/edited update of the screed originally spewed by the "reicht" Rev. Fischer.

Here's a hasty re-work, with links:

Evangelical, Fundamentalist Christianity is an Evil, Wicked Religion - Here's Proof

Kids Kill In Violent Christian Videogame

There is a link to the most disturbing video I have ever seen in this article, from the Alternet website.

Unbelievably, it shows a videogame where the player acts as commander of an army out to fight the AntiChrist and the AntiChrist's evil army of UN Peacekeepers. When the player's soldier slays one of the Antichrist's soldiers (who are UN Peacekeepers, remember), he triumphantly cries, "Praise the Lord!" All the while, his little buddies are in a circle, watching, cheering and praising God. These are children! According to the website, this is just one of many such training videos Fundamentalist Christians have posted on the internet. I have no interest in looking at any part of another one.

Nor do I need to see the internet videos of the beheadings of Americans Daniel Pearl (to which Khalid Sheikh Mohammed has confessed) and Nicholas Berg.

The bottom line here is that what you see in this video is the next generation of Oklahoma City bombers being groomed to kill us. That children could participate cheerily and lustily in this kind of raw, brutal barbarity tells you all you need to know about the spirit that animates evangelical Christianity. The spirit of evangelical Christianity is the spirit of Satan himself, the one whom Jesus said came only to rob, kill, and destroy.

Closing Gitmo and sending the uncles of these young boys to art therapy classes is not going to make this go away. The only thing that can possibly protect us from this evil, when they come against us, is a righteous and overwhelming display of lethal force. Meanwhile, the practitioners of this religion should not be allowed to enter the United States, even as visitors.

When you see chilling videos like this, the grooming of young children to believe in and to practice decapitation, you can begin to understand why God instructed the Israelites to kill every living thing among the Canaanites - every man, every woman, and every child. To leave even one alive was to put innocent Israelites in future jeopardy.

The Canaanites were so far gone, so corrupt, so debauched, so given to violence, that they were beyond redemption, like a container of cottage cheese that gets left in a refrigerator which suffers a six week power outage in the middle of a hot summer. When you open that container of cottage cheese, you quickly realize that there is nothing that can be done other than to toss the whole thing out. There is nothing to redeem, nothing to save, nothing that can be saved.

It's worth noting in passing that God gave such instructions only with regard to the inhabitants of Canaan. Similar instructions were never given with regard to the Egyptians, the Philistines, the Assyrians, the Babylonians, the Syrians, the Edomites, the Moabites, etc. There was an an unmatched level of depravity that God observed among the Canaanites, and they eventually reached the place where they were beyond redemption.

He had promised Abraham, as recorded in Genesis 15, that he would give him the land of Canaan as his inheritance, but he could not do it for 400 years because "the sin of the Amorites is not yet complete." He gave the Canaanites 400 years to repent and to turn from their depravity, but they refused. Instead, they just kept making deposits into the slop bucket, and finally it was time to empty the bucket. God used the nation of Israel to do the job.

Practitioners of evangelical Christianity must not be given further access to the United States of America. We simply have no idea how many of them have drunk deeply of the same spirit that animated the children in this video, and who may give aid and comfort to those who carry out Crusadist attacks even if they do not participate in them themselves.

Fundamentalist Christians must be contained and confined in their own countries and counties, where they can be free to be as spiritually benighted as they wish and be as cruel and savage to each other as they'd like. That is their problem, but we must not let it become ours.

Our security as a nation means we must not be blinded by a naive and exceedingly dangerous political correctness when it comes to evangelical Christianity. It is an evil, wicked religion and must not be allowed to take root in the United States.

Hat-tip to Lordrag of DelphiForums for the heads-up to this lunatic's deadly drivel.

at a time when "Top Muslim clerics issue Fatwa denouncing terror attacks on Canada and U.S". I know that some idologues would love to spin that as, "Hey! WE ARE WINNING THE WAR! That is why they are doing it..."

But I think it is better representative of their moderates advocating for peace - something that they may or may not have been in a position to do before because of pressure from their radical nutjobs --- and our radical nutjobs advocating for exactly what they always intended.

An issue that is somewhat irrelevant when you look at the fact that it is our our radical nutjobs' foreign policy that turned their radical nutjobs' ire in our direction to begin with.

You got it in one.

Jesus Christ didn't have to put up with Muslims.

Why should Christians? He didn't know what they were like.

They can try the patience of a Saint much less a plain old ordinary Christian. Does JC expect us to do unto others or something? Doesn't he know that famous Christian saying:

Kill 'em all. Let God sort 'em out.

Kill an economist for Karl

...'cuz I know quite a few "Christians" (in name -- and loud self-proclamation -- only) who qualify as quite able to "try the patience of a saint" ... heck, history records a few of 'em even ~making~ a few saints through the ole martyrdom method.

I know quite a few patient Muslims.
