Wednesday Morning Open Thread: Things to do in Boston on a Rainy Day, New England Aquarium Edition

It's overcast and wet in the Boston area of New England today - a perfect day to get out to one of the many indoor area attractions. Especially if the attraction has to do with water and may involve getting the new Touch Tank exhibit at the New England Aquarium. Check it out:

In California, the Monterey Aquarium takes in sea otters for rehabilitation. If you go all the way up to the top of the tank, there's a small window in the door to the outside at the top of the tank. If you look out, you can see the otters playing less than 10 feet away.


The Seafood Watch app is downloadable for iPhone and Android; it provides "recommendations for ocean-friendly seafood and sushi." In other words, seafood and sushi recommendations that would utilize ocean resources sustainably - and the app not only provides information about whatever type of fish you type in, it also provides alternatives for more "ocean-friendly" choices.
