Greenwald: "Let's run the Hate Talk Express off the road."

In a message received (and posted elsewhere by) a friend, Robert Greenwald of provides a collection of targeted "The Real McCain" videos. Greenwald's objective is to shed some light and truth in order to provide leverage for use derailing the "Hate Talk Express."

I haven't watched the videos yet, but judging by the topics I thought it was worth sharing the content of the message.

Run the Hate Talk Express Off the Road

Dear Recipient,

Things have gotten extremely nasty in recent weeks, as the Republican attack machine has been stuck in overdrive. John McCain and his supporters are traveling the country at a rapid pace, inciting hateful rhetoric at campaign events, and grossly misrepresenting McCain's own policies in a desperate attempt to make him more palatable. The McCain campaign is even attacking ACORN, a widely respected voter registration organization, claiming ACORN knowingly participated in "voter fraud." In reality, this is just another calculated attempt by the McCain campaign and the RNC to suppress new and marginalized voters.

Like I discussed with Stephen Colbert on The Colbert Report last week, our videos travel faster than the Hate Talk Express. Below are 15 videos for the next 15 days. They present the REAL McCain -- the one he doesn't want the public to see -- as well as information on issues affecting all of us at this critical juncture. Issues like the economy, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, health care, the environment, and the fundamental right to vote.

Make sure all of your friends (especially those who don't agree with you politically or are still on the fence) see each and every one of these videos. Post them on blogs and networking sites like Digg -- our best means of reaching those outside the choir. Get your friends to sign up for a free Brave New Films video subscription. Get them to enter our REAL McCain contest: What would you ask McCain? (The 50 best answers win a free, limited edition, REAL McCain t-shirt!) And support Brave New Films by donating $15 so that we can continue creating hard-hitting videos like the 15 seen here.

Fight the "Hate Talk" robo calls.

If you can't work at your local Dem/Obama headquarters, do if from home on your phone or on your computer by writing respectful letters to the editor, e-mailing your friends, becoming active on your newspaper's "forums" or by writing short notes to friends and neighbors.

To keep you inspired, I've provided the above background music.

Take back America by fighting back today!

It's like the old 1940s/1950s "Boogy-Woogie Bugle Boy" theme.

Thought I'd put this here as I've got an announcement for tonight as well, greyhawk.

First: if you put my post on the front page it's still not showing, nor on the right, the top post is cho's on the clothes. Me thinks because you've got access to the site has something to do with you seeing what I'm, and I would guess others, aren't.

Mentally Unstable Soldiers Redeployed to Iraq

<blockquote>Stretched Thin, the Army Puts the Vulnerable Back on the Frontlines

Two weeks before his second deployment to Iraq last September, Army Specialist Michael DeVlieger broke down.

"At first, I thought it was something that everybody experienced," DeVlieger told ABC's Bob Woodruff, "and just through time and perseverance I guess it would pass." It didn't pass.

After an 11-day hospitalization, DeVlieger was given a diagnosis of major depressive disorder, three psychiatric prescriptions -- and deployment orders.

"Eighteen hours after he got out of the hospital, he deployed to Iraq," DeVlieger's wife, Christine DeVlieger, recalled. He left for Iraq despite Pentagon policy requiring that service members establish three months of "stability without significant symptoms" before deploying.

"I was a ticking time bomb," Michael DeVlieger said.
