Found this quite interesting ... Office Copiers Pose Identity Theft Threat
This is not even something one would think about when protecting their identity ...
To illustrate the security problem, they removed a drive from a traded-in multifunction copier. With common computer cables, they plugged it into a PC and immediately were able to scan the hard drive. Using data recovery software available for free on the Internet, they found sensitive information immediately, including filled-out W-2 forms and payroll records showing the name and Social Security number of every employee in the company where the copier was used.
